Amie's Review of Lotus by T.L. Smith ~ RELEASE BOOST ~

Title: Lotus
Author: T.L. Smith
Genre: Romantic Suspense Standalone

To break a heart is easy.
All you have to do is reach in, wrap your blood covered hands around it, and pull.
This happened to me.
Two hands, both red as my hair, did this exact thing.
Tore it away like it wasn’t made for me.
Maybe it was his to take?
Because years on, with those same blood red hands, he still has it.
In his hands.
And he won’t give it back.
But the real question is, do I want it back.
He is dangerous, uncontrollable, and downright sexy.
I fell for it all, but in the end, he didn’t catch me he let me fall.

AMIE'S 4 STAR REVIEW

I feel like it has been awhile since I have read this author and I truly missed her writing style !! The characters always have tragic flaws and come from tragedy and attempt to rise above to gain happiness. In this story I love the dark aspects of it , the suspense and the forbidden things that go on. Orion and Lotus not only have unique names they are very unique people.

Lotus sweeps into Orion's world quietly but fiercely when they are teens and despite things going horribly wrong for them she has never left his heart and he is convinced years later that he can be the man she needs and he can and will fight to win her back. These two couldn't have been more different yet they had a connection like no other. Years go by and it is still there stronger than ever. Regardless of how life has gone on for Lotus just one look at Orion and she is lost. Orion may have thought he was ready to face Lotus and win her back with honesty BUT he has no clue what he is in for. There is a couple twists and turns - 1 expected and 1 not so expected. I wasn't happy with Lotus' brother Sebastian , he seemed to be a loose cannon and I feel like I either wanted more from him or I just wanted him to go away !! I started out feeling sad for Roen , he was going to get his heart trampled and he was kind of hot and sexy !! Of course shortly after he took a turn and I wasn't impressed with him. I also felt like he could have had a bit more depth or explanation to his piece of the story. Regardless I enjoyed the story - love the second chance romance and as always enjoy reading this author.
