But how do I find a way to breathe in a new life and love while learning how to exhale the agony of my past?

AMIE'S REVIEW

My rating is more 3.5-4 but not because of any of the drama I see surrounding it - more so because I had a couple issues with reactions during the story. I always enjoy this author's work and as a whole I did enjoy this story. Two broken souls finding each other when they least expect it was great.

Getting Logan's back story was a bonus but I have to say I honestly DID NOT like Shannon AT ALL. I was so disappointed in her despite her circumstances and it made me so mad for Logan that he had so much guilt and hurt when all along her behavior was most likely due to her own guilt. Anyhow - it is still heartbroken to read about Logan and all he put himself through and the dumb choices he has made since. Hannah also has a sad story to tell from her past and in the present she is currently in the process of even more heartache. Thus making the meeting of Logan and Hannah one of fate and a refreshing start for them both - more so Hannah because she is also moving away from home !! None of this is ideal and some of it may not make sense to those who have never faced these issues or even thought of it BUT I can see how loss and devastation could ruin anyone. We see it everyday. Was Logan right to use Paige - of course not but she didn't care. Should Hannah have stood by Logan while he attempted to make things right - maybe not BUT she felt something and saw something worth it so she fought for what she wanted. I was happy when Logan had some TIME to himself because I felt that maybe someone should have done that for him when it all first went down. He truly needed that help and if anything came out of the story good or bad all I cared about was Logan healing that piece of him that was destroyed. I will admit that I wanted to smack him for his reaction at Hannah's family home during that horrible realization BUT I am not the author and I have no say in that !! I wish he had taken a minute to chill , or figure things out but then again it pushed him over the edge and had his family give him the ultimatum he needed.
